Siurana DOP olive oil covers an area of 12,000 hectares in the Tarragona area of Southern Catalonia parallel to the Mediterranean coast. The average production is around 4,500tn a year. The oil is produced within 24 hours of the olives being picked up and is elaborated exclusively with olives of the Arbequina variety.
