The olive oils with with Baena Protected Designation of Origins come from the South part of the province of Cordoba, in Andalusia. Its calcareous soils and a climate that combines mild winters and not excessively hot summers contribute to its particular taste, together with the mix of olive varieties used in its production: Picuda (the main variety used in the Baena Protected Designation of Origin), Hojiblanca, Picual, Lechin, Chorrúo and Fowler.
